S&T was commissioned to create an intentional ceiling lighting system to control the mood of Kink’s newest store and event venue in San Francisco.
The primary goal was to create a tunable atmosphere that could match the tone of events at the venue. The lighting system also highlighted essential elements of the location’s interior design, including an extensive collection of paintings and sculptures.
We worked closely with the Kink team to develop a lighting design that met their needs. Our setup comprised individually addressable RGB LED strips controlled by a powerful computer running our custom software. For ease of access, we gave the software control via an iPad. The final result is functional and aesthetically morphable.
